“Only two people, two instruments, a voice and what a sound!”
-David Muse, Alive at 5 - WPFW-FM, Washington, DC"

Abigail Selby and Eric Selby began performing together in March of 2014. They initially planned to expand to a larger group, but after some time, decided to stay as a duo, primarily focusing on the instrumentation of harp, drums and vocals (with a little guitar and keys thrown in for creative good measure). In January of 2015, Abigail and Eric began recording their self-titled EP as well as their first full-length album, "Shedding Shadows," with their debut album release concert being held at Washington, D.C.'s historic Blues Alley. In early 2016, Abigail and Eric had a successful tour of the southeast United States, supporting both their EP release and their full-length CD. Both releases have received airplay throughout the U.S. and the world. In the Summer of 2017, Abigail and Eric performed on the west coast of the United States, including shows in Los Angeles and San Diego, California. While on the west coast, Abigail and Eric recently created a music video for Soultone Cymbals in Los Angeles, CA.They are currently in studio working on their second full-length CD, projected to be released November of 2017.

who we are

In today’s musical world, the words “original,” “indie,” “progressive” and “fusion” are thrown around freely but with Abigail Selby & Eric Selby, these descriptions are, indeed, fitting. Abigail Selby (electric harp, vocals, keys), a music conservatory graduate, comes with a background in Celtic and Classical music, while Eric Selby (drums, percussion, guitar, vocals) has a history deeply rooted in jazz, Americana, blues and rock. Together, their backgrounds provide a multitude of soundscapes and genres that reflects the multi-cultural, ever changing, millennial melting pot we live in today.

our history

"Abigail's approach to playing the harp is sensitive, heartfelt and exciting. Eric paints a snare drum like he was Rembrandt."
- Maggie Sansone with Maggie’s Music and Alan Chidester with KRFP, 90.3 FM

“The drumming has taken me all over the place. I’ve heard a lot of different influences in the drumming and then you add the harp to that with your voice, it creates this tapestry of almost a larger group of being in front of you.”
-David Muse, WPFW-FM, Washington, DC
